The house is located in the Old Town of Chania, Crete. It represets a typical Othoman residence building of this period of Chania. Our practise designed the full restoration and refurbishement of the building and its transformation to a contemporary hous building, which can be used for hospitality purposes also. The design challenge was optimising the use of space considering the fact that the hous consists of four floor levels of 20m2 each. We focused on enhancing the architectural identuty and the traditional character of the building.
